Once again, I’ll be celebrating my Birthday & Pesach (Passover) away from home. Last year, God revealed the deeper roots of His Crucifixion & Resurrection as I spent my first Pesach in the mother land of Israel. Spending hours and hours at Succatt Hallel (Jerusalem House of Prayer) looking over the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion & the Wall of Jerusalem – God revealed how deep he was as wide. During the very night hours that Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, here we were praying, answering the call that Jesus rebuked Peter with:
“ So, Could you not watch with me one hour?” (Matthew 5:40)
Along with the Lord, we watched and prayed over the sleeping city of Jerusalem, crying out “Awake, O Sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Ephesians 5:14). God gave us a heart for His beloved Israel, a glimpse of His heart as He took on the sins and shame of Man. And as I sit in Saint-Marc, Haiti this Pesach 2010, the call to watch and pray is no different for the Haitian people: To wake up from their slumber and answer the call of their Creator, Lover, & Bridegroom. Unbeknownst to many, this weekend will be one of the noisiest weekends in the spiritual realms. Black Friday is what is known in our world as Good Friday, as they celebrate the death of Jesus as a mockery of our God. Witch doctors have historically paraded on the streets, and have stood in front of the gates of YWAM Haiti demonically praying over the campus. DTS students have even advised us foreigners to stay within the gates due to spiritual warfare in the night hours. But Do we fear them? no, because Jesus’ Blood speaks a Better Word.
So this coming Easter Sunday, we are thankful and humbled to announce to you that we will be officially launching the YWAM St. Marc House of Prayer. And as we prepare to physically build it, we find it divine that God is spiritually preparing us for war with our first battle – Black Friday. From tomorrow Friday 12:00AM to Sunday 11:00AM we will be partaking on a 59 hour Burn of continuous prayer over this campus and this Nation. Everyone on campus will sign up for an hour or more release the sound & fragrance Heaven over this Nation. Why? Because we believe that the prayer of one man in the Name of Jesus is more powerful than thousands in the name of the defeated (satan). This is the power we will be declaring by using our weapons of warfare through intimacy with our God. So as the historically voodoo nation and their animal sacrifices permeate the spiritual airwaves this week, the battle cry of worship, prayer & LOVE of God will short circuit their rituals. We will be contending for God to speak through angelic visitations, dreams, toward salvations and revelation of the one true God. There is no greater place to be than where satan doesn’t want you to be !
With that said, I ask you to walk with us in prayer and to pray over this nation in the following ways:
- Please pray for the launch of our Prayer Room and the plans that God has in store for this to overflow into a Nation.
- Please pray for an increase of spiritual authority and protection
- Please pray for the leadership to have more revelation of God’s Love in the midst the task of rebuilding a whole Nation
- Last but not least, please remember that our battle is in the Spirit, and not the flesh whether you are in Haiti or in Fairfax, VA – so take heart to the fact that no man will [ever] be greater than his prayer life (Leonard Ravenhill). And as Jesus said Himself “ the harvest is plenty, but the workers are few so PRAY ” .
Love you all more than you know,
