Let Your Will Be Done .....

3 oz of confusion, 2 1/2 oz of bitterness w/ a splash of sadness, shaken and not stirred on the rocks. That would be the ideal cocktail of my emotions right now. After all the prayer, raised money, and countless visits to Port Au Prince – my brother Philipson Georges was officially rejected a visa this morning to attend The School of Revival & Reformation with us in Hawaii. Without taking a look at any of his endorsements from the St.Marc Chief Inspector or formal invitations from YWAM Kona, he was rejected before even stepping into the office. Why? …. Only God knows… and O’ what a test of faith it is to “respond rightly” before our ever loving God at this predicament.

It’s seems so unorthodox for me to write such a disappointing blog, but through all the battles I’m fighting in my heart right now – I’m realizing that this, is life. It’s reality. It’s where the rubber meets the road - For this is a journey of a living and active faith, and not a blind one. After I had passed on the disappointing news to my school leaders, how timely and coincidental that Andy Byrd spoke on Lordship right after. He said that “Lordship in the kingdom of God isn’t us asking him to merely take over, but it’s us SHACKELING ourselves on to his Love” It’s not us begrudgingly surrendering everything, but in eternal hope, we ask him to take it. Why? Because we can never make a decision nor react without the eternal pillar of our faith that Jesus himself clearly stated:

9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. 11These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

John 15:9-11

GOD LOVES US. Not with any general love, like a love for chocolate cake. But a divine love that only our God the Father can demonstrate with His Son. The same Love and Trust of the father that gave all authority on heaven and earth to His son, Jesus. And this love is the assurance that whatever disappointments happen in life, it can never separate us from His joy to make our Joy Full in him. Nothing can take away this truth behind the scenes of all the pains of reality that come our way in life. Abide in Him, and even the pains are for our fullness of Joy. Because of this divine foundation, we as sons and daughters of God, have nothing to lose, but everything to gain …

With that said: Philipson, your journey is not over brother.

 It’s only begun.

As of Monday, the School of Revival and Reformation has officially launched. All 38 Students arrived on the 8th from all over the globe to answer the call of intimacy. Since then we’ve been kicking off the quarter in Kona with the 4 other schools in celebration and expectancy. With this second generation of students, we are hungry for all that God has in store this season. Just today we officially announced our five Outreach locations. With the flame of intercession and missions, Fire & Fragrance will be launching our teams to the following locations:

  • The East Coast USA to Israel tour
  • The West Coast to Mid-West Christian University Tour
  • Japan
  • China to Thailand
  • Haiti

These locations are all places that God has placed on our hearts to carry the message of intimacy to re-dig the wells of revival. Within the next 24 hours, the students will be praying and deciding on where their outreach locations will be. And in my next 24 hours, I’ll be praying that God handpicks the ones that will fall in love with Him the most in Haiti.

Though I’m in a state of mixed emotions, God is queuing me that this is all part of the growing pains in this new season He has called me to: Leadership. The lord is doing something new, and I am comforted knowing that I am not alone on this journey because of you all.

Last but not least, A thousand thank yous from Philipson and myself for all your support, prayers, and encouragements. Let us remember that God never has plan B’s, and is always in control. God’s not finished with us, so let’s keep running toward the goal.

Love you all more than you know
